GYSA’s Academy-style training program officially kicked off on November 30, 2016, with a small group of players and coaches who were looking for more than what our traditional Recreational program could offer.  Since then, the program has evolved, and our Greenville Blues teams routinely participate in competitive tournaments throughout Mississippi, frequently earning medals and competing with top programs from around the state and region.  In the 2024-2025 season, GYSA fielded 11 teams and had around 160 players participating at the competitive and rec-plus level. 

The Greenville Blues program continues to grow through the support of many dedicated volunteers and sponsors, and we are looking forward to lots of new & exciting offerings for our players in the future.

Since January 2017, our Greenville Blues competitive teams (as well as our competitive teams who were at various times known as the Delta Kickers, Delta Blues, and/or Delta United) have routinely participated in friendlies and tournaments played throughout Mississippi, and in Arkansas & Louisiana as well.  Several of our players have gone on to participate in Mississippi's Olympic Development Program (ODP) and to play for larger clubs in the Jackson-metro area and in other states.  All of our "alumni" have represented our club well and proven themselves at the state and regional levels, training and competing in highly competitive environments. Many of our players have also seen great success with their respective high school teams.  The Greenville Blues program provides the foundation for excellence for many players in our area!
